Charleston High School and CHS Student Council would like to thank Charleston U-Haul and Home Again Consignment for sponsoring a van to transport the prom decorations to and from the dance venue! #CHSCusd1

Recently Petty Officer Charles Brown, a Pearl Harbor casualty with connections to East Central Illinois, was laid to rest in Arcola. CHS Press writer Gunner Barr attended the service. Mrs. Doughty's and Miss Walk's classes with the help of Mr. Adkins planted trees at Mark Twain and Carl Sandburg Elementary schools. The trees were purchased as part of a grant from the Lumpkin Family Foundation #CHSCUSD1

CHS Art Show this Friday, May 3! CHS Cafeteria, after school. Open to the public and free (though we will be having a craft and poster sale, and gladly take donations toward the art program). Stop by after school at 4:30 or later in the evening, on your way to see Maximum Forte! See flyer for details!

At CHS, seniors took photos for Decision Day to be posted on May 1st. Any senior who didn't have their photo taken may do so on Monday, April 30th in the media center. #CHSCusd1

Maximum Forte, CHS's competitive a cappella co-curricular group, will be performing a showcase on Friday, May 3rd, at 7pm in the CHS Swickard Auditorium. Hope to see many people there! #CHSCusd1
